Granger's Volunteer Programme Grows And Grows !
22 May 2012
This partnership between Glenmore Lodge and Granger’s provides volunteers with two different ways of reducing the price of instruction. It is going from strength to strength ! The scheme is designed to help increase participation in the outdoors, particularly, (but not specifically), within groups with barriers to experiencing the outdoors. This scheme is part of Granger’s Community Trust Programme, which aims to sustain and support responsible outdoor enterprises.
If you work for free, helping guide or coach others on courses or events that are provided to them free of charge then the Granger’s Volunteer funds can help support you. To find out more please visit the Glenmore lodge website
Adam Francis from Donside Canoe Club is undertaking a canoe training qualification funded through the Granger's Volunteer Programme and said : “Some people are put off coaching courses by the cost but the Grangers Volunteer Fund has allowed me to attend the course and gain valuable new skills that will help to improve my canoe club.”
